Goals for the event:
- Expose young students and their parents to a college environment
- Introduce a variety of career options
- Introduce the concept of “college” to them at a young age
The day’s activities:
Groups of approximately 30 kindergarten students (with teacher/parent chaperones) will rotate through 9 different “career stations” in 1 of 6 land areas. The students will spend 7 minutes at each station learning about that career and the importance of education and/or training for that career. Parents who want to participate will be able to attend with their children. This event is a family, school and community partnership at its best!!!
