Roadmap & Contextual Indicators
Reach Higher Shasta’s collaborative model is designed to be measured over time. We are developing a roadmap to success at every level, along with specific goals. These are meant to stretch us as a community, but to be achievable.
Here are the specific points along the cradle to career education continuum where we will be measuring outcomes. As the data is available, this page will become a central source for the community to track and celebrate these efforts.
Ready for Kindergarten
- Percent of students demonstrating readiness based on Kindergarten Readiness Snapshot
Early Grade Proficiency
- 60% of 3rd graders at Grade Level in reading and comprehension fluency
- 50% of 5th graders at target level in math
Middle-Grade Progression
- 50% of 8th graders at target level in math
High School Graduation
- 25% of students completing all courses (A-G) required for UC and CSU admission
Percent of students graduating with two or more classes in Career Technical Education pathway
Post-Secondary Enrollment
- 68% of students pursue post-secondary education following high school (includes both 4-year and 2-year)
Post-Secondary Completion
- 29% of adults with associate/bachelor’s degree or credentials
- 18% of Shasta County residents attain a bachelor’s degree or above
